Staff Survey

The Challenge:
HR Director, Molly Coddle, was needing to formalise a ‘check-in’ process between Managers and staff whereby Staff would have an opportunity to provide feedback to their Manager prior to a One-On-One meeting to discuss performance as well as growth and development needs.

The intention is to have a check-in session every 6-months as part of the formal Performance Management process.

She found that the Staff Survey feature was ideally suited to her needs.

Each Manager at ABC Suites is required to have a One-On-One with each direct report on a 6 monthly basis as part of the Performance Management process. These ‘check-in’ sessions are less formal than the Appraisals but are an important part of the process and are used to not only discuss performance but are an opportunity to build relationships and for Managers to get a better understanding of their staff especially as it pertains to current challenges as well as training and development needs aligned to future career opportunities going forward

The staff questionnaire is designed with this in mind. There are two sections, One for staff to complete and for the Manager to comment on, and one for the Manager to complete.

Once the Staff Survey is done, the Manager has access to the final report and is required to share this with the staff member at the One-on-one’ check in session.

A record of all staff surveys is stored in epic for access by the relevant Manager as well as by HR. This forms an important Portfolio of Evidence for all staff.
